I AM APPLYING FOR THE FALL SEMESTER START FOR FCCJ 2008, THE WAIT IS KILLING ME :banghead::eek: ANYONE ELSE APPLYING THE SAME TIME?

im applying with 218 points and i applied for the day program, but i might need to consider the night program....i wonder if they would let me choose if i didnt select that as my number one, but if it comes down to it ill just tough through it......

Hi There!!

I hate to be the one to tell you:no: but there will not be a night time program this Fall. Fccj only offers the nigtht/weekend program twice a year. And they already did one for this past Spring and Summer. So if you need to do nights you would have to wait untill Spring of 09. But I would like to say congrats:yeah: because 218 points is a shoe in. They will be accepting 168 students this fall, the most that they have ever accepted. Spring09 is still 144 and Summer 09 is still 96.

Good Luck to all of us.

then why did they make us choose first and second

Hey WaitinonAUG08,

I am not sure why they had you do a 1st and 2nd choice but I went to an information session last month and talk to Mrs. Cheryl James and she said that there was not going to be a night/weekend program this fall. And that they only offer it twice a year. Also just to make sure, I call the nursing office today (not sure who I talked to) but the lady on the phone also said that it would be offer in Spring of 09. Trust me I have checked on this a lot. I really wanted to go nights because of my job. But I am ready to apply for fall and I am not sure if I want to wait any longer. So I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and get another job and just go days this fall instead of wasting another 4 months.

Anyway Good luck hope to see you this Fall.:typing

well than that makes my decision all that much easier, i dont have one!! i kinda like it better that way i guess.....ive heard that the first semester is brutal but it cant be any worse that 8 months of combat medic training with the army, i already have credit for the nursing concepts class, and i am wondering if i should take it anyways just to get their perspective on it, or if i should skip it to make my first semester all that much easier........any opinions!!

Hello all!!

I just dropped my application off today, I have reading through all the post. I am applying with 187.32 points. I sure hope I get in. I read someone posted they are accepting 166 students. Tats great hopefully my odds are better :o). I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. I have a friend in her 3rd semester, shes int he night and weekend program and she has told me the first semester is the toughest and each one has gotten somewhat easier "so far". Good luck to everyone. I look forward to meeting and talking with all.

Well guys I have just retaken the NAT and I did a little better than before. So I will be turning in my application tomorrow morning with 199.52 instead of a 192 so I am happy with that. :yeah:

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

I know what you mean! When I for a moment thought that they were offering it this fall I was just getting used to the idea of going to days and I was then confused on what choice to make because I already force myself to accept days. But it is easier to know that we do have a choice.

Anywhoo, I would probably skip it. You could have an easier semester but then again if you think that it might be a different experience then maybe you should take it again. I guess I didn't really help did I. :D

Oh.....I have question for you guys. When ya'll turned in your applications did you use an official transcript or did you just print one out on Artermis?

Thanks in advance!

i just printed off the internet, but i called to make sure that that would be okay first, so i think your all good!!!

the revised nursing packet says that there are 168 students accepted in the fall. i would have just assumed:

144 day + 24 nights = 168

THANKS!:)
