Hi! Have you been working part-time as an MA? I would think you have well over 900 hours in a year and a half. 3.5 isn't so bad as long as you score very well on the TEAS. Its doable!! Have you been studying? Is there anything I can answer for you about the test? I just took my the 28th of september. I got a 87.3%, but know I could have done better with more effort studying.

I already submitted my application so I'll just post my stats. Hopefully others will post theirs as well.
GPA: 3.5
TEAS: Taking in December
Work Experience
Foreign Language
Native Student
Military
I am! Getting my application together now, but May seems so far away to hear back from the school... I also applied to Sac State, but Sac seems a bit more competitive. I'm curious how many points I'll have at CSUEB.Transfer StudentGPA 3.89TEAS 87.3%Healthcare PointsI hope to at least make the wait list.

I keep hearing from people in charge of the pre-nursing club at CSUEB that it doesn't come down to points alone. I guess they have a complex algorithm that they use to determine who they except and that the first people they cutoff are due to GPA.

I am! I am ready to submit my NursingCAS application. Whoa, that was more complicated than I expected. Do you know if it is okay to submit even though they haven't received the transcripts yet?
My Stats:
GPA: 4.0
TEAS: taking in December
No other points. No language. No patient hours. No military.
I'm hoping my GPA is enough. I live local. My husband's job is solidly in the Bay Area. So I'm applying for CSUEB and Sac State, but if I end up at Sac State I will have to commute. Not sure how that will work with Nursing School. I also have 2 boys (ages 13 & 15). I'm really hoping on CSUEB. So far all I've got is a good GPA.
In experience I listed the work I have done as a doula but I don't have paid experience and only about 45 hours. I listed everything I can think of, even though I don't know that it will count for anything: Work I did 20 years ago with a program for developmentally disabled, doula work, my current work for a chiropractor (even though it is mostly billing and admin).
BLS certification in certifications.

Hi everyone!
Has anyone here received a conditional admission letter into the nursing major?
I received my admission and acceptance packet into the school and notification from nursing department that my CAS application was received before the deadline. May seems SO far away before we hear anything.

I received my admission and acceptance package as well from the university. Nursing CAS has also emailed me to notify me that I have applied before the deadline. So just TEAS to do, my goal is 92 and then its just waiting! :)
When are you taking TEAS? Have you taken it before? I took version 5 and then the new ATI 6 version which I found easier. Good luck! Getting a 92% is doable!!
I am scheduled to take it January 10th. Do you have any advice in taking the TEAS 6 from the 5? I purchased the practice tests through ATI both A & B. I'm hoping that will boost my score. Practice tests I'm in the 80s. Did you find anyone on YouTube that has posted helpful info for studying for the test? Rachel P. is really good! Are you applying to other schools other than CSUEB?
My advice is to spend time studying A&P much more thoroughly than the information in the book. The science section is primary A&P now. The reading and English section is very similar to version 5. The English grammar section was my worst section! I don't know why as I thought I always do well in English. It's also a hard area to study, like knowing all your homophones. Sounds easy but I found myself second guessing! Math was the easiest section, if you know your basics I wouldn't waste too much time preparing for this section, the new calculator feature helps tremendously and I ended up missing only one on the actual test. Take your practice tests because they are also very similar to the real test. I scored an 87.3% on the ATI 6 test, this was my second attempt because I took version 5 in May so I won't be taking it again. Most schools only look at up to your second attempt anyway. I'm also applying to Merrit and Los Medanos. I may also apply to Sac State if I decide to retake chemistry. Are you applying anywhere else?

Hi all! I'm applying to CSUEB for fall 2017 as well, just wanted to drop off my "stats" here too, because gosh i cant count how many times I have gone through and read previous CSUEB students stats to try and see where I stand - just have to repay the favor!
Pre-req GPA: 3.87
TEAS: 87.3
No other points. Not Military.
I just retook my teas yesterday too, and am hoping to get a little bit of a better score but we will see!
I'm really hoping to get in here or at least on the waiting list, this is definitely my first choice. If i do get in, I want to go to the Concord campus, only 20 minutes from my house (yay!!!) and my mom graduated from the nursing program there in 2011 and absolutely loved it there. But we will see! Good luck to you all, looking forward to hearing how many of you get in come May!
