Nursing Students School Programs

Is anyone applying to cal state east bay this fall for fall 2017 ???! nursing program

I choose Hayward campus ! See this fall

Thanks for the calendar! Big help in trying to plan. For everyone on the wait-list, the school will start contacting people after May 31.

I'm trying to get a handle on the roadmap as well. Basically the roadmap is showing summer school included. I've talked to a current EB Nursing student and she says they have summers off for the first 2 years. Mid June - late Sep. Are we going to get summers off or no? Makes a big difference for myself, every other Nursing school i have got into has summers off.

Not sure if this schedule is final, but i too was looking for our classes roadmap and found this under the nursing curriculum page. http://www.csueastbay.edu/csci/departments/nursing/files/docs/concord-roadmap-semester2017.pdf

Looks like our class is affected the most due to the semester conversion. the post above is for the concord campus however the hayward roadmap looks pretty similar.

Both cohorts seem to have summers scheduled in for both the 2017 and 2018 years.

Woohoo! Just got three emails from the nursing department saying I have fulfilled the Psych, Socio/Anthro, and Nutrition requirements already. So I will NOT need to enroll in Nurs 2010. But I guess this just means I'll get some other requirement out of the way instead...

Has anybody signed up for the USWT yet?

I got the same emails, yeah!! I also just finished pharmacology, I wonder if they will take it? I will send in my transcript once my grade is posted.

I took Pathophys from Santa Barbara City College and Pharmacology at Contra Costa College as pre-reqs for a different school I applied to, but I heard from my friend in the program who also took them, that they didn't count as CSUEB :( She had to retake them both last year. Oh well. At least we have some knowledge going in. I hope it comes in handy. I heard the Prof for those two classes is tough!

I got the three emails as well! :) Is anyone aware of any other pre reqs that may need to be completed?

@babyd00ks: Were you able to sign up for the test? When I tried to sign up it said I had already completed it?

@RickyO - I haven't tried to sign up yet. I am also getting the same message when I try to sign up. I emailed the test center a while ago and this is what they sent me:

"You are currently not in a degree program yet, that is why you cannot sign up and are getting the error message. When you are matriculated and in a degree program, and are of Junior status, having taken 90 units, that is when you'll be allowed to register. Everyone must complete the UWSR if they are seeking a degree from the University."

I plan to wait maybe two weeks and then contact the test center again. Likely, I just need to wait until the nursing department has me listed down as nursing major and once my Spring transcripts are processed (which I just requested) are also done. I saw the dates on the website and there are a bunch. I'd prefer to do the computer version instead of the paper version so I'd like to sign up as soon as I can.

I talked to testing center and nursing department. We can't register for the WST until we are enrolled in classes, and we won't get our class codes until end of July. I guess we just won't have much time to take the test.

@babyd00ks: Thanks a bunch. glad to hear I'm not the only one who is receiving that message. Correct me if I'm wrong but do we have to take the WST before classes actually begin? thanks a million

On our admission letter it says we need to take the test by September 15.

It's official, I'm at the Concord campus! Orientation is July 27. Has anyone on waitlist heard anything?
