Fall 2014 Baptist School of Health Professions San Antonio

Published

I am looking for info on the acceptance rate on the RN program for BSHP, or average TEAS scores that are accepted into the program. I applied for the Fall 2014 and I will be taking my TEAS soon. Any information or if anyone else applying???

Kmoc answer pretty much covered everything. Get very comfortable with bed baths lol.

how long before we actually start clinicals? and what do we do on those clinical days before we start?

are the foundations and common clinicals on the med/surg floors?

You start the second week. The first week you'll be in Sim lab practicing assessments. And yes, you're on a med surg floor.

@Stefanie what about the cna test? will we be able to take it after first semester?

MissKris I'm not completely sure, but I think you can. I don't really want to be a CNA so I haven't really looked into it. Sorry I'm not of more help lol.

Specializes in ICU.

Quick questions for current Baptist students. How many males in your cohort? How many people with practitioner licences such as RCP? How long after you put in the short application availble through the baptist website did you get any information pertaining to acceptance? I put in my application, and recieved the confirmation from someone in registration the next day. I just sent my transcripts, and will be taking the Teas ASAP.

Maybe 10 or less males. Most instructors have a masters in education, have not met any practitioners. I sent in my application in July and received an acceptance email in October, I believe.

Im having problems finding a 2014 medical dictionary. Does anyone think a 2013 will be fine?

@mancor123 yes that will be fine. I asked one of the teachers and she informed me it's not really required to buy one. She told me all info can be found online. but I had already purchased the Tabers 22nd edition.

awesome, thanks so much!

School Starts tomorrow who's ready?!
