Published

Hi ACC prospects! I figured I would start a thread for all of us applying to the ACC adn Fall 2019 semester. I am taking my HESI tomorrow morning. Anyone else out there?

Who said that? I would just go off what the Nursing Page says about the 2nd week, and then probably add a week or two since ranking was delayed. ?

None of the girls from my skills class (1st half of spring) have gotten acceptance letters.

That’s what the lady said when I called about an hour ago! ??‍♀️ Ugh I’m so over this haha well please keep me updated if anyone get a letter!

Also, does anyone happen to know what our school schedule will be if we are to be accepted? I know clinical hours are not predictable since they are random but I’m looking at daycare options(just to be prepared in case I get a letter) and I have no idea what I should be looking for as in hours since I don’t even know when the heck We would be in class. I could’ve sworn I seen a schedule before but I can’t find it anymore on the ACC nursing website.

So if you want to be sneaky, you can see at least tentatively what they have planned. Google the "Traditional Track Degree Plan", then go to the 'student self-serve' for registration and look up those course codes. They already have the courses up on the system ready for us to sign up for when we get accepted, so you should be able to get at least a rough idea of what the times are. That's not to say they won't change anything before fall, but that's an option. Also talk to ACC because ACC does have some daycare options for students that are pretty cheap.

It’ll be something like this

Monday: lecture 8 to 12ish

Tuesday: lab about 4 hours in the morning or early evening

Wednesday: lecture 8 to 12ish

Thursday, Friday, Saturday are clinical days. You will have to go to clinicals on two of those days either from 6am to 1pm or 1pm to 7pm.

You will get assigned your clinical days the week before classes start. But you will get an email to give your preferences of location/time.

We just went over all this is 1105 yesterday. This is what they told us.

@Thoenix ahhhh thank you! I guess that’s where I originally saw the schedule because when I went to look up the class numbers in self service They all came up in my “recent searches.” THANK YOU ? also, the dropin daycare is for 3years and older:( and I don’t qualify for assistance/vouchers since my husband supposedly makes too much. ?(eyeroll)

@alyssamcc oh wow! That’s super helpful to know about clinical days. I start nursing skills at the end of May. Thank you so much!

Nursing skills is a great course. None of the work is hard and I don't know which instructors you have, but my instructors were incredible. Very available for questions and everything. We finish our class next week.

which location did u take the RNSG 1105?

I took it at the cypress creek campus, it just was the times and days that worked out for me. But the instructors were nice. I had no problems.

Thanks. I had to drop my first RNSG because I could not make it due to other classes that I'm taking. I got super excited when I received the petition not realizing I have 4 classes already for the semester. but I was able to signed up for another one this summer.

Eastview. Instructors are awesome there, too. ?

Do you all know if we will hear back this week?
