Fall 2019 Austin Community College ADN applicants (ACC)

Hi ACC prospects! I figured I would start a thread for all of us applying to the ACC adn Fall 2019 semester. I am taking my HESI tomorrow morning. Anyone else out there?

I’m not sure. I looked at other ACC threads from previous years and it looks like people have gotten in with 32’s. Each year the number is different based on the quality of grades/hesi scores that the applicants have.

What’s the point of even sending these out if they don’t determine the ranking to get into the program?? Now we have to deal with our heads exploding from stress for the next few weeks. I don’t understand why they don’t just send out the ranking with the acceptance letters and that’s it. I only got a 35 for some reason, and now I’m freaking out ?

I'm so confused on how they calculate the HESI, I got a 7. My scores for AP was 76, my math was 98 and my reading was 90, is a 7 correct?

Yes, because of that 76 for AP.

If your overall hesi score was between 80-89 then I think 7 is correct.

I agree with not understanding why they don’t send acceptance letters along with ranking..but I guess it’s incase they do make a mistake on someones’ ranking numbers.

Ohhh I see, thank you so much! Yeah it was that AP score that brought me down.

Hi guys!

My rank is 36.14. I was reading the email and it said “our rank points does not indicate our actual placement on the ranking list”. Does anyone know what other factors are involved with being placed on the ranking list?
