  1. Hi all! I have been searching high and low for the right RN to BSN program for myself and I stumbled across the Wichita State program. It looks great from what I can tell on their page but there is such little information from students online that I can find - like almost none. Is this a brand new program? Anyone have some insight about this program that they can share? It looks like they offer in-state tuition prices of all students and their prerequisite requirements seem very reasonable as well. I don't think they require clinical hours either but I'm hoping to get some clarification on all of these points. Thank you!!
  2. I haven't received a clinical preference email yet. Anyone else still waiting? Also, Ajot88 where did you see a calendar for RR? I don't remember seeing that either? Thanks!!
  3. Is the FB group you are doing only for EVC?
  4. Do you have a CNA license? I would like to get a part time job in a hospital as well but I have no medical experience yet so I'm not sure what I can apply for.
  5. Eeek! I got in too! I picked RRC, EVC, then CEC. Does anyone know when we start clinicals? Is it within the 1st semester? Anyone planning on working while in the program?
  6. Now it says they will be sent out mid to late April ?.
  7. Hey guys! According to the website we should receive our ranking emails in the next week. (It says early to mid April.) I'm just constantly checking my inbox at this point. Anybody finish nursing skills yet?
  8. Hi Sorry I didn't see this until now. Hope your HESI went great! I submitted my application online. I was told that this is the preferred method now. Have you already applied?
  9. Haha, I thought the same thing but no, it was very straightforward. I used a HESI guide too and I was surprised how much it helped.
  10. The HESI went great! I got in the 90's so I'm very happy! There will definitely be enough time for you to apply! They seem to always extend it quite a bit.
  11. I didn't. I am about to apply to ACC instead. I just couldn't justify the cost of this particular program although from what I understand it is a great program.
  12. Hi ACC prospects! I figured I would start a thread for all of us applying to the ACC adn Fall 2019 semester. I am taking my HESI tomorrow morning. Anyone else out there?
  13. Hi guys! I am getting ready to apply for a nursing program at ACC. I've taken most of the prereqs for the ADN program but I'm actually considering doing the LVN program instead. My reasoning is I have a toddler and no family around to help with childcare. I'm concerned that I won't be able to handle the Adn program while working and trying to raise a kiddo. I know I can bridge later on. So here my biggest question about the LVN program that I haven't been able to get any clarity on: Are clinicals randomly assigned or is there any flexibility for choosing days? I will have my daughter in preschool if I get accepted but that only runs until around 5 or 6 pm. Are there any Acc students out there that can clarify HOW the clinicals are assigned, how far in advance you get your class and clinical schedules and how likely you are to be able to switch to a time that fits your availability if absolutely needed? Thanks for ANY thoughts and suggestions. Sorry that was long....
  14. Hi! I am looking into the Concordia University accelerated bsn program in Austin Tx. I would love for someone who is familiar with the program to give me your thoughts. I also am specifically trying to understand the schedule for skills labs and clinicals. I have a young child and will be needing to work part time so I'm really trying to figure out what an average weekly schedule would look like. Thanks for any info that you have!
