Published

Hi ACC prospects! I figured I would start a thread for all of us applying to the ACC adn Fall 2019 semester. I am taking my HESI tomorrow morning. Anyone else out there?

@WFPBNurse yes! That’s what I meant. The clinical preference email. When did you receive yours?

I got it this afternoon. Did you get it?

@ksberry10 haha sorry. i thought you were talking about the clearance ticket thing. I received the clinical preferance email today as well. You may want to check your spam. Or it could be since you're going to CEC that your nursing faculty hasn't sent that email out yet.

@WFPBNurse not yet! Hopefully soon because I’m so anxious to know

@chriscruz I checked my spam but I didn’t have anything. They’ll probably send the email soon.. I just submitted everything last week so perhaps they haven’t checked.

I'm CEC, and haven't gotten anything yet either. Also I noticed the EVC and RR calendars were posted but CEC hasn't posted one. If we're similar we don't do our dosage exam until Wed and then our 1105 skills check off until Friday. Which makes me a little happy cause its a little more time to ask questions and get used to our labs.

CEC students should probably be aware that we're running a little behind. The woman in charge of our cohort had to have emergency surgery a little while ago and she's been struggling to get us all caught back up. She's very nice and doing her best and she's recovering well, but all of our stuff is a little behind.

Oh dang! I'm sorry to hear that! Glad she is recovering and doing better. That definitely helps me be more patient.

How did you find this out?

I'm an immigrant and Castlebranch was giving me troubles as a result so I had called awhile back to clarify what Castlebranch was meant to be doing because they clearly didn't know. I couldn't get a response in time so I had to do my best on my own, but she called me back a few days ago and was very apologetic that she hadn't been in the office to help me out with my issues and she told me then.

I haven't received a clinical preference email yet. Anyone else still waiting? Also, Ajot88 where did you see a calendar for RR? I don't remember seeing that either? Thanks!!

I got the email already! But I’m so confused because classes are supposed to be MW 8:30-3:30pm and TTh 8-11:30 and some of these clinicals are over 45 min away from where I live, factoring traffic. Also some of these sites offer day shifts but we have class during those hours no?

I had those thoughts as well, but I'm sure that they're going to make sure we can go to class and to our clinicals, otherwise they're shooting themselves in the foot.
