Fairmont State University

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Updated:   Published

Hello all. I have recently applied to Fairmont State University (West Virginia) LPN to RN "Hybrid Option" I have been an LPN for 2 years, but have worked in nursing for the past 10 years. I know that all programs are competitive, but I wonder if any applicants or past student recall what their TEAS test scores were? There is no current "scoring sheet" to give me a better idea of what my chances are. I have a 3.5 GPA, and all pre reqs completed for my Pre BSN. .

Just looking to see if anyone can give me an idea of what they had when they applied and were accepted. Thank you in advance

Im applying for Spring 23 start. Did you hear anything? Are you from the area?

Hey!  I have not heard anything in terms of the nursing application yet. I got accepted to the school for fall of 23. I did read somewhere that they will send letters for acceptance  into the nursing program in the early feb-March for fall entrance. I also read that acceptance letters for Spring 23 get sent oct-November of of the previous year.

I meant I'm applying for Fall (not Spring) 23 start! I applied to the school but not the program just yet. I have all my prerequisite and I took the TEAS Dec of 21 and got a 70.7. I think I'll retake it to get a higher score my Science was low 53.9 , reading and Eng both 80s and 72 in math. Did you take TEAS?

I did take the TEAS. Score wasn’t as great as I wanted (71-72) but after reading some comments on this page and speaking with people who have been accepted, they have been accepted with scores similar to mine and yours. I was thinking of taking it over agin as well. Sorry to answer your other question from the previous post. I’m slightly local. I’m in Virginia. So I’m kinda close

that's Good to hear bc I did not want to retake the TEAS LOL. I'm in New York I seen that clinicals are 2/3 times a month, do you know if its weekly on consecutive days in a row.

How much is the tuition of this program? For some reason I am unable to view it on my phone, laptop is toast. Is it in state rates since it is online?

So I got my acceptance letter to the LPN to RN for fall 23 cohort last week!! . From what I was told clinical are on consecutive days each month. Tuition varies for Instate, out of state, or metro students, cost were listed on the college website

Congratulations!! I got waitlisted but My TEAS was a 70.8 so hopefully I'll get a spot for the Fall. Did they say if clinicals were 2 or 3 days?

I have my fingers crossed that you get in!! They mentioned clinical being 2 or 3 days..... I guess it may vary by semester

I got officially accepted! Still wondering about clinicals though since I will be traveling

I was accepted for Spring 2023. I live in Connecticut, also wonder about clinical
