Fairfield University CRNA 2020 Applicants

Updated:   Published

Didn't see a thread posted yet for the 2020 Fairfield University CRNA cohort so thought I would start one! Just submitted application: 3 years CVICU (42 beds) and 2 years Neurosurgical/Neurotrauma ICU (16 beds) experience, CCRN, Cumulative GPA 3.64, Nursing GPA (let's skip this one LOL), and lots of committee work. Good luck to everyone!!

I also applied and got an interview invite for September. Anyone heard what to expect in the interview process? Clinical/patho vs get to know you questions?

When did you apply if you don’t mind me asking?

Skyline1627 I applied on 5/28 and got an interview invitation 6/3.

Goodluck making it through fairfield.....not a good school, from what I have heard. Pulling "Basic of Anesthesia " lecture notes from the internet ,only to contradict whats on the test, is NOT fair to students paying $$$$$$. In addition, It sounds more like a business managed by some greedy doctors.

Among 2016 graduates, 3 (THREE students) did not make it in Fairfield CRNA program. A very few faculty and almost nothing to choose from. Good luck if you go there, but I do know there are many schools that you won't go through the type of torture in Fairfield to accomplish your goal. Again, good luck but my input is been stated!

If you can teach yourself ( Chemistry, Physics and Basics of Anesthesia), perhaps a refresher course in Physiology. You will make it through the program. Don't expect too much from the teachers at Fairfield CRNA program. Agakn, dont expect too much!

I know a guy that got kicked out of clinical in third year, this in my opinion is very brutal!

If you’re not a student yourself your opinion is irrelevant to this thread. I went to their open house and spoke to their current students and they had nothing but positive things to say and yes this was when the professors were not around doing their presentation.

Saying someone got kicked out of clinical without stating the reason why is pointless and shows a biased attitude. Please stop wasting your bashing this school when others are trying to obtain useful knowledge.

VCU, ECU and University Of Maryland ( On point education and very very diverse!).

I just found out today that I have an interview on September 26th for Fairfield CRNA program! I'm excited! From the Detroit area!

Specializes in Trauma ICU.

My interview is 9/18. I’m coming from Chattanooga, TN. Super excited!
