Your school's policy is one failure and you are dismissed from the program? Most schools allow one failure in a nursing core class. The second failure results in a dismissal.
Our school was dismissal from the program if you do not have a 78% or above for a final grade. No if, ands, or buts about it. We lost 3 people in total =(
Hi,
The same happened with me at Valencia! Did not have a great experience there from the beginning. I have been applying to other nursing schools since. I am in the process of applying to schools now and I can't say it is the easiest situation having failed out. What did you end up doing?

Hello all,
After 2 long tortuous years, I have failed out of nursing school. By 2 points. On my last day. Valencia College is a very hard program but I had a 81% in the class, I passed all my tests and on thelast day the gave us 2 tests back to back and the HESI was worth around 399 points which was clearly enough to bring me down to failing. So after talking to the Dean who gave zero care, and the board of nursing, who couldn't do anything I was left with nothing. Not even a high enough GPA to apply to another nursing school in the state of FLORIDA. SOOOOO now I am so lost and don't know if anyone else has had any luck with Herzing? They said I could "test out" and skip the semester if I passed the final exam they give their students and passed a skills check off. Only downside is the cost. Before I go $40k in debt, I'd like to hear opinions and make sure there's no other options for nursing after failing a program. And I was in my last semester.
