i'm not even sure i'm going to get readmitted for this semester... so now i have about 7-8months to do ...what?
i have already made plans to transfer to CSULA and get a BSN in business administration accounting. its a lucrative degree and i'm not THAT terrible at math. the problem is how hard it is compared to nursing. for some reason i failed.. and i cant figure out why. i studied all day ever hour etc and i was pulling Cs, Ds, and Fs.
i wasn't supposed to fail second semester, but it happened and now i dont know wha to do.
should i continue with RN SCHOOL?
should i transfer to a university and get a BSN degree in BUSINESS?
what do you guys recommend?
I'm confused. Isn't a BSN a nursing degree? No advice here, just I hope you figure out what you want to do, and best of luck to you.
Yes, BSN is Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I am sure OP just meant Bachelors.
To the OP, we can't really tell you which career to choose, you just have to do whatever will make you happy. If nursing is what you really want to do, don't settle for anything else. It may be hard, but that will just make it that much more satisfying when you accomplish your goal!
I believe it is possible to fail even when studying all the time. I've seen it happen. The reason is usually HOW you are studying. Get with a study group (no more than 5-6 people). When I was in nursing school, there were several groups of students in my class that moderated these groups. We would get together regularly. For some it is easier to learn from your peers than from instructors who in my experience were mostly a pain in the bowhunkus. You might be studying too much. Don't study for more than 2 hours without a break. I was a non-traditional student and I felt I had to study longer and harder than any of my peers. But when I began studying with a group, everything clicked. I graduated with honors and I KNOW you can do it too.
Do you cram before a test? Don't. Do you second guess your answers? Don't, go with your first, it's usually the right one. Don't memorize, try to understand the rationales, then you can apply them to anything.
I don't know why second semester seems to be the most difficult, but that is the one I hear most students have problems with. Talk to your nursing advisor and let her know how much you want to be a nurse (if that is the case). Everyone deserves a second chance. If you don't make it this semester, apply the next. In the meantime, keep studying. There are all sorts of other classes you can take while you're waiting to get back in, that will go towards your degree.
I wish you much luck!!!
