Published

Hey need some tender loving advice. New @ this website. So here we go. I graduated from ADN school in 2004 and failed RN boards 4 times, so someone made and suggestion to try for my LPN boards, so I am trying to prepare myself to take lpn boards in 2 weeks. Do anyone know about the LPN 2012 nclex test and what I need to prepare myself for, please help. Thanks

You have to analyze why you are failing, what is it that you are missing.may be your way of studying needs direction.

Being an LPN shouldn't be viewed as a consolation prize for. Ring unable to pass the exam to become an RN. Is English your first language? Your. Post shows problems with basic written English.

I agree with Fiona59 :)

Time off you took is 4 times longer than the nursing school itself. I don't think it is safe anymore to practice as a nurse even if you pass. Are you still retaining what you learned in nursing school? Maybe you need a refresher course or nursing school again. You could have finished nursing school 4 more times in that time.

Let me try this againmy first response went to cyber heaven! Michelle don't give up go for your RN. I am you. I have been an LPN since '99. I graduated ADN in 2007. I took the exam four times and the fifth was July 13 and I passed. Please feel free to email me and i will be there for you and motivate you. You will do this and i will help you. Keep faith and you will be an RN!

oh thank u so much could u send me your email address. Thanks again for your positive feedback.

michelle.duncan,

Someone posted to take a review course; Hurst Review does a good job.

I used the Hurst Review during nursing school and before the boards.

Hurst reviews all systems in simple terms. A print out of each review subject is available and fill in the blank is used to follow along with the presentations.

Good luck.

I could be wrong, but I think, if you have completed the ADN, you should only being taking the RN boards.

The LVN boards will not be easier for you. The exam is to test that you are able to give safe effective care, pull concepts together, and think critically. (both exams)

Study, and in this case, maybe a tutor, or possibly repeating some of the subject matter with your educational institution.

Hello!

Please don't give up on your RN profession!!! It took me a while to get back to nursing after staying at home with my kids. I agree with a comment that you should go back to nursing school and take a refresher course, not only you will refresh your knowledge - you will be around other nurses too. Prepare yourself well for your next exam and if you need help we started study group for nurses who are planning to NCLEX-RN exam in October. Some of us are scheduled August, September so we all will be by your side!!!

Please feel free to contact me !

Best wishes!
