Hey Everyone,
Need some advice so my 2nd semester of nursing school I failed by 5 points on my final. It was a very stressful time, and i have two young children ages (2, 4). My husband and I were constantly fighting all the time. I am returning in the fall to take micro, and a test taking class to help me better prepare. My husband is scared I won't be able to handle it..it was hard to juggle everything. I need advice how can i make sure I am doing what needs to be done around my house, setting a schedule..also best study books to help me kick its butt next time. I want this more than anything...i don't want to loose my marriage because I am having a hard time keeping up.
Thanks everyone for the advice.

Are you able to return to the program?
You also need to have a moment with your husband and explain to him that you attention is going to be on nursing school, and your education is not only going to benefit you, but the whole family.
You should aloe have Childcare arrangements if possible.
Also, if you are able to return to the program and nursing courses, it seems as though you were borderline on tests, so you may need to look into nursing subject review books to help you understand the flow of NCLEX-style questions; the Success Series is a good series specific to subjects such as Pharm, Med-Surf, Peds, Leadership, etc.
Best wishes.

Please don't jeopardize your marriage by trying to exceed your current capabilities. Nursing school is stressful enough without adding personal issues into the mix. Maybe it would be better to wait a while till your kids are in school & your life is more stable before you make a second attempt.

Did you fail one class or all? The program I am in does not require you to repeat everything, only the class you failed. In that program, 80 percent (B) is passing.

I wouldn't do anything that would jeopardize my marriage. If your life can't handle nursing school right now then I would put it off for awhile. I would look at what went wrong last time, have a talk with my husband then fix everything. But if there are things that can't be fixed, then hold off.
