Experience as a CNA is helpful when working toward becoming a nurse and helps build job leads, but it does not directly assist with passing the NCLEX.

I do not think you should stop what you are doing (meaning preparing for the NCLEX) to pursue your CNA just yet. You are so close to getting your RN and need to stay focused.

However, if you feel that the English language is your barrier, then yes, a little more exposure and time working in the field may be the right choice.

NCLEX Preparation

Since you've already attempted the NCLEX twice, reassessing your study plan might be a good idea. Are you using practice exams, studying the areas where you're struggling the most, and considering a review course?

There are many excellent question-and-answer banks with rationales. Once you achieve a passing rate with Next-Gen NCLEX practice questions, you are well-positioned to pass the NCLEX.

Some students benefit from specialized prep courses or study groups with other NCLEX candidates. Sometimes, the issue isn't a lack of knowledge but how we approach the exam. You might want to explore different study strategies or get a tutor who can tailor a plan to your specific needs.

Support and mental health. It's important to keep in mind that everyone's path to success is different. Some people take longer to pass the NCLEX, and that doesn't diminish your potential.

Don't let pressure from others dictate your journey. Focus on what's right for you and your learning style. Mental health is just as important during this process, so take breaks and don't be too hard on yourself.

In a nutshell, I suggest not giving up but strategically focusing on your studies.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth

Thank you nurse Beth .I really appreciate for your support 🙏

Hi,

I definitely wouldn't give up on pursuing your nursing to go into CNA, I agree with nurse  Beth. Utilize resources to help you study and improve in the areas where you knew you needed the help. We all kind of have an inkling on where we needed to do better and if you need to just go over a little piece of everything you will succeed. Getting your CNA doesn't take very long and it is helpful to have under your belt just don't forget your HHA along with it. You know the same if at first you don't succeed try try again. Best wishes
