Just found out I failed the boards for a 2nd time, took all 265 questions.... I'm so ******, tricky questions, trying to hide the correct answer.
I'm sick of all the stupid games on preparing for nclex...and quite frankly,,,I don't even care anymore. No wonder Nursing has such a high burnout rate.
But the BEST PART IS,,I was hired as a new graduate RN with the condition that I pass boards,,,so I get to go tell my boss and face all the other RN's that I FAILED tomorrow. I just flat out don't care anymore.....

I know how you feel, I have yet to pass my RN boards either and I have thought about giving up but that is not an option. We made it through nursing school and graduated and all that is left is passing this damn test. We can do it and we will do it!!!! Just take some time and relax and then start studying again!

Gosh, must be hard to face your boss tomorrow. Maybe your boss will be kind enough to hold your place until another 45 days until you pass the Nclex next time. Good luck!

Get yourself together, tell the boss, and find out the consequences. Then start in preparing for your retake. Now you know why it is best to get the license before accepting a job. Best wishes.

Sorry to hear that. Take a few days off from studying & then jump back in it, while it's still fresh in your mind. Also, it sounds like you may be very close to passing, especially if you are getting all 265 questions.
Don't give up now! You've made it this far! YOU CAN DO IT!
Good luck!

I am glad you vent about it out and you can vent some more if that makes you better.Don't worry about your boss nor the other RNs;focus on you and where you are going which is becoming a licensed nurse.Once you are over the "i don't care anymore mood" with due respect, get back and develop a new study plan.Research the best method and books;you obviously know your plan is not working at the moment,so get others input and please study for only two hours each day for two months.((((Hugs as i know it is not easy)))).

I know it is tough. I got the same result. I went through all 265 questions that took me almost 6 hours to finished. It was Horrible. I was tired and hungry while i was thinking about how i did.

Have you tried learningext.com It's an online review made by NCSBN. Keep trying at it but next time don't tell anyone your going. Less pressure. Best of luck!

Do not give up and do not feel embarrassed lots of people need to retake NCLEX. The most difficult part you have already accomplished and that was getting into nursing school and getting out. Passing NCLEX is second to all that drama! Give yourself a break about a week and then get back on the horse!

I am so sorry!! When did you take it and did you try the Pearson vue trick? Please don't give up. Have you tried a review course?

I'm not going to sympathize. If you don't care, then you don't care. But really, the test doesn't trick you..you trick yourself. The reason people think it's so hard is because they let it get to their heads. Just study and pass the test, be done with it. Think of it just like another test. I passed on my first try and thought it was just like any other thing I'd seen in school and Hurst. Oh and LaCharity. Don't feel sorry for yourself, just make it happen
