Hello, so I graduated in December 2018 with my RN BSN. I took my first exam on March 15th had 235 questions and sat for 5 hours. I was brain dead after and was unsure. Two days later I found out I failed. I took some time for my self. I scheduled my second attempt on May 15. I've used UWORLD, made notebooks worth of study guides, and answered questions on Lippincott RN app. This time I felt more prepared and at ease I did not study the day before and made sure I slept well (did not do the first time). This time my test was 77 questions with at least 10 select all that apply. I was told the more select all apply questions the better you are doing. Two days later I was devasted to find out I failed again. I decided to join this forum and start fresh because the way I have been studying has not worked. What are some tips from other test takers who failed multiple times? What can I do different this time to ensure I will pass? Please help!! Thankyou

Just sit back and try to regroup. I have been in your same situation so I know how you feel. The last time I tested and passed I used UWorld and Mark Klimeck audio. When using UWorld I studied by systems that helped me a lot. I also used Lacharity.

Lexxxiii6995 , you just need to make a list of the reasons why you think you failed, you have to write them out, and once your done , figure out how can you change them or eliminate or prevent these things from happening again, then write out how you plan to pass your exam and be very detailed with it.
Also no matter how many resources you use or if you find the best resources if there are situations or distractions around you it will affect your ability to study for nclex , and also if the resources doesnt match up to your learning style and what your lacking in .Also doing questions can be a waste if your not slowing down to really study how the questions are being asked , what is the questions really saying , understanding the keys words being used , understanding why you got it wrong or right then qbanks wont be effective
Think back on a time you passed a course or exam how did you study for it , what methods you used? Perhaps some of those methods can be applied to studying for your nclex?
Write down your learning style or methods that 110% always work for you
Then look at the various resources you have available and figure out which one match up to your learning style and will address the areas you are lacking in . If you want you can email me and I can give you more tips/advice etc ..
Lastly you have to work on your mental /emotional aspect , surround yourself with people who want to see you pass and will encourage, write motivational quote and paste it in your study area , listen to uplifting videos theres toma on YouTube, always have at least one day where you dont study at all and try to fit in selflove/relaxing stuff , for example: watch a movie, take a warm bath with scents , call a friend, massages, rest, buy a treat , exercise, pray ..theres tons of things just figure out what works for you .
please note am not selling a service or trying to , I just know how stressing this must be for you and all those persons out there in the world trying to conquer nclex. My email is [email protected] . Anyone else out there that's struggling with nclex you can reach out to me

Sorry for your situation. But, you got to pick up yourself and have a go at it. Do not be use other people’s experience as a yardstick. Like when you said, you heard that the more ‘Select all that apply’ you get that means you are doing well. So, when you have all these kinda thoughts in your head, instead of tackling what is infront of you, you are considering the kinda questions that are popping up. From my experience if I even remembered correctly, I did not get up to 5 select all that applies questions and I got done at 75 questions and passed at a sitting. So, clear your mind, tackle your exam, each question at a time. Don’t use hearsay or other people’s experience as your yardstick. It is gonna bug you to death. You gonna pass you boards.

Hi!?
I was not ready and took it under pressure. UWORLD ( RN -both assessments) showed I had a borderline chance of passing and that is what happened.
NOW- I scored 92 with high chance of passing.
I also attended a live review course, I needed it personally. I went to rachell allen and it was the best class i could have ever done. If I could have done their bootcamp I swear I would go back. I needed a live course. My girlfriend who went to school in the south told me about them- i owe her big time.
Also the way the NCLEX and the way UWORLD post a question is different. That was awful for me. I overthought everything and tripped myself up hard.

Hello!
I just wanted to comment that in reality, I think failing the NCLEX twice really is not d/t a lack of knowledge. Think about your emotions and external factors leading up to the exam. I'm sure if you passed nursing school, you have the capability of succeeding. I know the day of my test I was SOOOOO nervous. My heart was beating so fast during the test and I couldn't concentrate. I obviously don't know you, but if you have a history of an anxiety disorder, it may be helpful to treat that before you sit for the NCLEX again. Good luck!! ?
