Failed NCLEX 5 times and graduated with honors. How many people failed 5 times already?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I passed nursing school with honors and can't pass the NCLEX in 5 attempts taking all 265 questions 4 times? I thought this was suppose to be a test on basic nursing knowledge designed to ensure nurses don't harm anyone? It's been anything but basic knowledge...how many others have found this to be their experience?

Which state did you apply at?

Same feeling here. I took Kaplan as well. It's doable but frustrating to attempt so many times. I need help also so If anyone have any advice or classes to take let me know. Also I felt the question had me thinking a lot but got all 265 3 times

What state did you test in

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

OP- if you've done Kaplan twice, DO SOMETHING ELSE! There are a number of programs out there. Consider private tutoring. And please answer the question bout the school you attended posted above. It gives us direction into helping you- and that's why you came here, right?

I was a B student in school, didn't feel very confident that I would pass on my first attempt so I used Hurst Review after graduating for two weeks before my exam. For me, the Hurst review just made everything make sense and easy to remember which gave me the confidence I needed to go in and nail it the first time. I highly recommend Hurst for anyone who may be having trouble. Best of luck!
