Hi Arizonians!!!!
I moved here from Michigan 1 year ago and I love all of you guys! Anyway... I graduated and obtained my BSN in 2001 and I have failed the NCLEX 5 times, due to a lot of stress (divorce, moving out, etc) which is no excuse. I graduated 2nd in my class and I thought that I would not have a problem with the boards since I have never failed anything in my life. Well, I was wrong. The last time I took the NCLEX was in 2003. Since I failed AGAIN, I gave up! Now I realized that was stupid of me to give up on a profession I love and since my life is stable and "stress free" I want to take it again. But, I'm afraid I won't remember everything! Any suggestions? Any recommendations of tutors? Or any review seminars? I did the Kaplan in 2002 and I thought it was terrible!

I commented over on your other post, but I would recommend getting the Saunders book, and using that. The recommendation is to do the chapter tests first without reading the text, and if you score a 75% or higher, then you move on to the next chapter. If you score less, then you read the chapter, and re-test. After you have completed the book (found at Barnes and Noble) then you should do 100 questions a day from the CD for 6 weeks. Don't worry, it will all come back to you!

The sixth time is the charm.
You might try one of the three day in class review courses + the computer CD.
Best of luck, Go with God!

Maybe go through a refresher course? I think gateway offers one.
Also, lotsa studying on your own. Med/surg, peds, OB, critical care...lotsa practice NCLEX questions. You can do it!
Good luck.

Hey PhoenixGirl, did it only take you one day to find out your results when you tested???
I hate waiting.

Yea I took NCLEX at 9am on a Wed, and Thurs at noon my license number was posted on the state board website. Friday my paper license was already in my mail box!!! A friend of mine I went to school with had the same exact senario. They are pretty quick- thank goodness!
When do you take nclex?

Thanks, I post in that forum all the time. I was wondering what it was like specific to Az.

I second Saunders. Also if you can enroll in a MedsPub class it will give you a lot of really helpful information.
Much luck and success to you and most importantly - don't give up.
P.S. Just one more thing - I don't know how other states post their scores but I found out less than a day later I passed so apparently AZ is on the ball:)
