Hey guys, so I just got the break down of my test. It shows that i was near the passing standard for everything which is kind of disheartening. I took kaplan the first time around and was wondering if I should take some other course. I'm thinking about hursts, since i hear so many things about it. But i also heard ready to pass was really good but that class is a lot more expensive. I feel i might not know the content as well so just doing questions from the kaplan q bank was not enough. Even though i went through the rational it felt like i would only understand it pertaining to that question. Any ideas? I'm also thinking taking it no longer than 60 days, that way I dont forget too much. I know i have to sit out for 45 days so maybe a week or 2 more for extra prep.
Attached below is the breakdown of my test.
Thank you
When creating your qbanks, on the top left side you can click tutor mode or timed mode. Tutor mode gives you the rationale in the actual question so you know if you got it correct immediately. Helps remediate better. Hurst took me about 1-2 weeks, between watching the videos and filling out the packet which go along with her lectures. Very helpful
Does anyone know how long does the hursts online program take? It says I should know the material to a point where i can regurgitate it.
That's probably a better idea than knowing just a little bit too little to meet standard, don't you think? Who cares how long it takes?
Not quite sure what you mean by your not meeting the Kaplan criteria for refund because you used somebody else's account. Did you not pay Kaplan for some of their program, so that's why you forfeited the refund right? Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.
I will suggest Uworld. For me Uworld is like a combination of Kaplan and Hurst. The rationalizations are well explained and detailed unlike in Kaplan. Try the 1 week free trial and renew it if you want. Questions in Uworld are more difficult than Kaplan. Very challenging. Good luck to your exam.
I HIGHLY suggest UWorld. Aim for a 60% on your quizzes and I promise you will do great. Like someone else int he comments said, it's the best of both worlds (strategy+content). A lot of my classmates ONLY used this and pass don 75. I took Kaplan and only found out about Uworld 2 weeks before my test. So after I finished Kaplan, I did Uworld for 2 weeks straight and I feel like it was the closest thing to the exam. Don't let this get to you, study hard and Good Luck!!!
Yes, I totally agree with the two posters before me. I have been out of school for 9 months and have not taken the exam so I really needed a good content review. I also do not have much time to read content review books like Saunders, Hurst, etc... But with Uworld you won't have to worry about that. Every question has very detailed rationals and strategies for answering the question. I had Kaplan for 4 months and hated it. I didn't think that their rationals were very short and not as helpful. I wish I had known about Uworld before purchasing Kaplan. Try it!
