Failed NCLEX, when do I get new ATT?

Published

Hey everyone! I failed the NCLEX last month. I took the test on the 20th and received my fail notice 5 days later.

I re-registered for my test online the next day. For people in California who have gone through this before, how long does it take to get a new ATT #? I know we have to wait 45 days in between test dates. I tried calling the board but with no avail :/

Any ideas on what I should do now?

Hi there nikkinixter,

Sorry to hear that you failed. I failed my first attempt at 75 with all below passing also, but never give up. You will do great, just study hard, pray and stay confident, positive.

As for your question, don't know how long to wait in CAlifornia.

Please let me know when you pass. Good luck!!!!!

Hey there, I went through the process for CA re examination last month. Here's a huge tip (this worked for me and someone else I know):

AFTER your 45 day wait is up make a complaint about the wait time here: Public Comments, Complaints, and Suggestions - California Department of Consumer Affairs

Make sure to leave your contact info and everything so they're able to find your file in the database.

A few days later someone from the board called me and I was able to schedule my test the next night. Good luck I hope it works for you and keep studying hard!

@rnby21: how recent was it that you did this? I'm so scared I'm going to wait forever :(

I have a question. I took my nclex July 23 and failed and when I found out I failed I reapplied to the BRN july 25. I paid the $200 on pearson for my exam August 3rd because I thought this would make the process faster but I still have no received my ATT. My dream job starts Sept 17, and the earlies I can take the exam is Sept 6 because that will be 45 days but I am scared I am not going to get my ATT in time. I am really praying for a miracle. What do you think I should do? any advice would be great. I am in california.

Does this really work?? I recently took my nclex and failed. I want to take it again in 45 days because I have my dream job that starts on Sept 17 so I really need to get my ATT and schedule my exam and past this time around. Please let me know your experience. Thank you!
