I just took my NCLEX yesterday and like you I did Kaplan. I also did feuer and ATI. In my opinion the test questions were more like ATI. simple and straight to the point. Kaplan was way more difficult then the test. ATI really help you with knowing the core material. if you don't know the core material, you can use whatever decision tree or elimination trick you want and you will probably fail. I had about 10 sata and I purchased a book from lippincott called the alternate format book which focuses on sata, drop and drag, hotspots, etc, etc. please memorize all of your labs I would have gotten a lot wrong without knowing that. At the end of the day I can say that NCLEX was not trying to trick mr, the questions was very simple and straight forward. I just needed to know the content and it all came together. my test shut of at 76 and I felt like I knew I passed when I left the building. YOU CAN DO IT!
Yeah the PVT did work... it took me straight to the credit card so the trick work... thanks I would try not to give up!!!
Okay thank you very much... I think I overstudy a lot and got very stress and negative... what is ati??? Never heard of that...

You should take a couple of days to relax and then go back to the drawing board and change your studying routine. I too failed on my first try at 265 and went into a mild depression you could say lol. I went on a vacation to clear my head, afterwards I revamped my whole studying and sure enough I passed second time. You just have to fight it through and I know you will do better next time :).

The materials that I used to pass NCLEX-RN were:
1. Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2011-2012 Edition with CD-ROM: Strategies, Practice, and Review (Kaplan NCLEX-RN (W/CD)).
2. Lippincott's NCLEX-RN® Alternate-Format Questions by Lippincott. For SATA questions-a very good choice.
3. Kaplan review- There are free trainers online if you cannot afford the program.
4. I also used some notes that were posted online for review. If anyone is interested, let me know. Infection control is very important to know for the exam, therefore notes on it is super helpful.
Most importantly, relax and go to the beach once in a while or do any other outdoor activity. Be confident, and never ever lose hope. You are going to do it!
