Failed NCLEX, embarrassed to work as NA

Nursing Students NCLEX

I just recently failed my NCLEX after working at my dream job for almost 6 weeks. I was supposed to come off of orientation soon, but now that I have failed I am being bumped down to an NA. Obviously I am so thankful that my job is still secure once I do pass my boards, but I will be so embarrassed the day I have to walk into the hospital and everyone sees that I have failed. I am confident that I will pass my exam the second time - this is just really bothering me. Any words of encouragement?

There is nothing to be embarrassed about, you graduated from Nursing School, that itself is a great accomplishment. The Hurst review really helped me in addition to the SAunders and Kaplan review books. Kaplan was a light Bulb moment for me. Hurst reinforced the core content and made me think of them in a whole new way, Nclexy, like Marlene says. For two months leading up to the test I did about 100-150 questions a day. for example one day I would do endocrine, the next day I would do oncology, the next cardio, etc... I'm talking the analysis and application type questions. Right before I took the exam, I took a few days off from work to relax my mind and body, which are important to do. The very day before I did not look at anything, I just relaxed and watched some comedy on TV. Have a good breakfast the morning of and go in there with confidence and don't doubt yourself.
