My story.

I had my final yesterday and I bombed it. I needed at least a 74 to pass and I ended up getting a 69. I had the chance to drop the class but I was persistent to do better. I studied but I guess I didn't Study enough. My exam average is a 69.9 and I needed a 72 to stay in the program. Now, I don't know what to do. I am thinking of reapplying but I don't know if I will get accepted again. I couldn't sleep at all last night. It was my fault and I know that. I don't blame anyone but myself. Any advice?

Thank you very much for all of your advice....I am just waiting to see what my GPA is...and I am definitely going to go back to the program..!! Thnx for the support..... :)

Don't you get a second attempt the following year without actually having to go through the application process again?

You said it all. I have been studying this way since mid last year when I first failed my midterm in med surg one. Luckily I ended up passing the class. Since then I have never sat down to study chapters on end from the main text books. I do nclex questions aplenty and type all my rationales then study them religiously. I seem to pick up more info from the rationales and the review books in less time than I ever would from the main text for the same amount of time. So keep it up. To other poster, you are welcome to use this method. Also, it'd be helpful to find out what type of a learner you are so that you maximize your study time!

Hi Summer Days, thanks for the tip. Has your study method helped you score at least a 85% or higher on exams? Also what review book do you recommend for med surg? I am willing to try this out. Also I am a visual learner short term memory and long term memory an interactive/kinesthetic learner. So practice questions helps me the most , second study group and third role playing.

Last do you create flashcards on quizlet with rationales or use Microsoft word to type rationales?
