If you were instilling 2 different types of eye drops to a patient how long would you wait between administering each drop?

Policy at my facility is 3-5 mins between different types of eye drops. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure we have a policy at my hospital, but when I had eye surgery my ophthalmologist said 3-5 minutes between drops.

Passing meds to 40 pts within a 2 hr frame is 3 min per pt. Sometimes 5 min between gtts doesn't happen in the real world.

Normally, at least a few minutes. The only exception to this that I know of is when we send patients for eye surgery...we do four drops, five minutes apart, so you give each one in succession, wait five minutes, and do it again.
