Well, I believe I am READY to write NCLEX and the date is coming up. Is there somebody who also writes NCLEX very soon and getting more nervous?? I did CAT mock test by Saunders and it gave me "pass" after 75 question. It relieved my anxiety for a moment....but still....you know.....
Hey, by the way, people who are taking HURST review! Did you guys ask for extra material Marlene was talking about? They sent me a thick package of extra materials including CD. It is about maternity, G&D, and excellent information about priotization in ER or disaster situation. Marlene wrote these materials with lots of goody goody info! I phoned them about two weeks ago, and asked them to send me one. It's very good information. Call them! :)

Hi! Did you take the online review? I am taking it right now - is this extra material for the online review, or in person review? I think I will give them a call!
I took online review, too. Did you already go through all? She is telling us about this extra material in the very last part of the course, in the part of discussion for the mock NCLEX. It's worth to make a call! :chuckle
I am about halfway done. Haven't gotten to the mock part yet. Thanks so much! I will give them a call! Good luck to you!

I used Hurst when I prepared for the NCLEX and I think that the extra material she gives you is very helpful. I had a couple of triage questions on the NCLEX and I was confident in answering those questions, because I had reviewed the ER Triage info. that Marlene provided. I went over every sheet when I studied and I'm glad I did because it helped me a lot, and now I have my RN license to prove it.

Thanks for telling me! I had bought the book she recommended in the video. I called and they are mailing that information to me!!!
That's good. I did not buy the book because I already have tons of materials to study... Good luck on your study!
Rikomama,
Yup! I have tons of books too but this book I really like. It is nothing but questions. They are very challening questions too. It was worth buying.

Tiffany,
Does the book have rationales for the answers? Rationales for both the right and wrong answers? Does it have quiet a few priority and triage type questions?
thanks

Is this book available in store?
How many Q&A?
Is it like Kaplan book?
Does it have new format?
Thank you
Hi again Suzanne & all,
What are the other books from Saunders you recommend? I have the comprehensive review.

Here is a link to the book. You can actually download 8 pages of the book to get an idea of how the book is set up. It has rationales for each answer. Very good rationales too!! It's not like some rationale that say 2,3 aren't right. It tells you why 2&3 aren't right.
Has lots of priority questions and delegation. It has a chapter dedicated to Pharmacology. It does have new format questions. Multi, multi's and graphics. I think the style of questions from this book are very challenging. Kaplan recommends this book too. Make sure you get the 5th edition. It came out January 2005.
I ordered mine from Amazon and paid for 2 day shipping because I wanted it before exam on tuesday.
Good luck to everyone!
