what are the expired science credit policies in different states?

Published

I was wondering how long can you wait out an science credit to expire and can retake it it over with a clean slate?

Policies vary school by school. You don't have to wait out anything to retake a course at a different school if you don't report all of the schools you attended. However, if you go that route, you run the risk of being found out and getting booted. That is a risk you have to decide upon for yourself.

I think in VA its 5 years.

Even if a science credit is old enough that a new school won't accept it for credit, it never disappears from your previous transcript(s) -- your former grades don't ever "expire" in that sense.

Policies about how old a science credit (or any other credit) can be before a school won't accept it any more are determined by individual schools -- it's not a "state" thing.

Your grade will always be on your transcripts and you should never try to hide them. Your dishonesty will eventually be found out. Different schools require that your A&P and Micro be within the past 10 years, yet others are as few as 5 to 7. My first A&Ps were in the 80s, so I had to retake them both last Spring. I got Bs when I was younger and As this time around.
