Experienced RN Relocating to WA this fall

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Dear all,

My husband and I are planing to move to Washington this fall.

I have been working in Acute Inpatient Rehab in Texas for over 3 years and I really hope I can continue staying in this field in Washington.

I know the job market isn't that great. I wonder how the rehab nursing job situation in Washington is.

For an RN who has about 8 years of experience, what's the pay rates I can ask for?

Can anyone tell me what hospitals have acute rehab units?

I know there are lots of questions here. My husband is an acupuncturist so he also has to leave his clinic and open a clinic in Washington. It's not that easy to find customers right away so I need to find a job as soon as we move there.

We are going to Seattle at the end of this month to check out the neighborhoods and visit some hospitals and do some sight seeing, of course. :coollook::lol2:

I'd appreciate any input for a new comer.

Hi there,

Where are you planning in living in WA. State? Will it be in Seattle ,Tacoma or the suburbs? You will easily get hired on since you have years of experience in acute rehab. There is an Acute Rehab in Everett at Bethany of the Northwest/Transitional Care Unit located at Providence Hospital Pacific Campus. Good Luck.

Dear EDSH_RN,

Thanks so much for your info.

We're total newcomers to Seattle. We love Seattle but we're concerned with the cost of living. We hope we can find a place that is not too far from down town. So far, we're considering Issaquah, Everett, Bellevue etc.

One of my friends told me that there are some new hospitals still under construction in the greater Seattle area. I tried to google it but couldn't find much information. Do you know of a website where you can find a listing of Seattle area hospitals, especially ones with acute rehab?

Thanks for your hospital suggestion, I definitely will check it out when we visit soon.
