Is it possible to continue an exercise regimen and devote appropriate time to study while in NS?

Hehe I said to myself in January, "Your going to lose the weight before school is over". I haven't lost anything yet and I only have 4 months left.. lol
That's just my experience.
You can do anything you want. I think it's do able, but I'm just lazy.. lol
You're funny, thanks I needed the laugh. I think I will continue to exercise as best as I can.

There are several people in my class that continue their exercise routine and still maintain high grades. So it is possible, you just have to make the time for it. I know some take their notecards to the gym or track and read them while they work out.
I've never been one to exercise, I have gained a few lbs since January...from all the fast food at lunch and then dinner so I can study. I now bring my lunch and we also walk during our extended lunch breaks.

I was wondering the same thing myself!!! My program starts in September and it is Monday-Friday 7:30am-2:30pm. I'd like to exercise before school, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen! And after school I'm sure I will be exhausted/stressed. But I gotta make it happen!!
Generally, I get up at 5am to go to gym. But I think I will have to move it up an hour once classes begin. Lets not even talk about clinicals which will begin at 6am. I will just have to remain dedicated at all cost. Maybe I will have to learn to like the dreadmill.

I did swimming because our county pool was open from 6 am to 8 pm, but recently cut back on hours. It was tough, but I could squeeze in 3 days, usually. I was the only student in class to not gain weight, but I've been too broke to pay for the pool, so during the time off waiting for boards I gained back what I lost....sucks!

It definitely is. I personally actually began a whole new lifestyle when I began nursing school... it's been half a year since I've missed a workout (I work out for 1.5 to 2 hours 7 days per week and I'm also on a very strict diet.) Where there's a will, there's a way. I actually use cardio time at the gym to study -- I bring flashcards and diagrams and rather than staring at the TV, I study. It's great because I have zero interruptions, unlike when I'm at home, and because I'm a kinetic learner, moving while I study increases my retention of the material.
I'm also a waitress and full-time student. Just commit yourself to your gym schedule, no excuses, no exceptions, and you'll be amazed at what you can do.
