Happy summer everyone!

I start Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP program in August -YAYE!!! Ive been so excited, and continue to be, to start school. But, I know here comes the but lol, every now and then I would get so nervous.

Made it through BSN program just fine, don't get me wrong it was tough!

I find myself less excited and more nervous as the day of first class gets near.

Anyone feeling the same????

Anyone starting school soon???

Anyone have tips for new NP students?

Cheers to a great summer everyone! 🤗😎

Continue to enjoy your summer break! How exciting being almost done!

Thanks for the site on where to get books, I'll look into it.

I'm currently looking into buying a tablet vs a laptop- any recommendations?

Personally I wouldn't get a tablet. I've been using my trusty old HP laptop for everything and needed a computer fast enough to be able to handle Shadow Health which is the virtual patient assessment software we used for our advanced health assessment class. I don't think a tablet would have been able to run it. I have a tablet but I hardly use it. I'm looking into buying a new laptop actually, and have my eye on a HP ProBook 450 G3 Notebook. I've always used HPs and think they're awesome. I use an HP Elitebook for work which has been marvelous.

I will be starting the Acute Care NP traditional on-campus program at UT Arlington this fall. I'm excited and ready to go. If I start to get nervous, then I will not do well. So I have to keep the excitement going :-) I wish all of you starting in fall all the best.

Just another comment on tablet vs laptop. My laptop fried in my last semester and I went with a samsung tablet. I was able to make it work, but I still had issues with using certain programs like blackboard collaborate and needed to go back to an old laptop for that. I also found it less "paper" friendly, I had various issues here and there. There are many different programs that need the power and flexibility of a laptop, and you really need a workhorse for grad school.........I do love my little tablet for everything else though!
