Excelsior Students- how often do you test?

Published

Hello i have a question for all excelsior students.... how often do you test? also realisticly how much do you study before each exam... i see some ppl set their exam date with hopes of studying like a month... but then only study for a week before... is this true? I am a very self motivated fast pace student... i cant study for a month... i have to cram for like a week thats how i have always studied and i graduated with honors with my LPN... can i expect to do the same?

If you are confident in knowing the content. I initially took a test q 2 weeks. That changed after 1 month of success, due to dates opening up sporadically because the testing center was booked c NCLEX takers I have taken the last 2 q week and have been A B. I only have 3 more to take. All a week apart.

Well, I have the Kozier textbook and I've been reading it based on the topics in the Excelsior content guides. I have found alot of answers though.

I am using the content guide that Excelsior provides. I' m actually reading some of the chapters; at least the ones I need clarification on.

I also have the Kozier and Erbs 8th edition with much of the subject material covered.

I recommend taking the practice tests. They get you "very" familiar with the type of questions you'll see on the test. I just passed LS2 today. Just LS3 on the 24th and trans on 8/7 then fcaa and clinical.

Excelsior is great for students who are self motivated.

what is the academinc guidance planner?

The answers are all there; they are just buried in the chapters. I am using the content guides Excelsior provides. It is too much digging.

I am very motivated. When you're at job that you don't like at all, that should be more than enough motivation. When your overall living standard is not acceptable, that is enough motivation to get up and do what has to be done.

yeah what are the academic advisor guides????
