I am getting a little ahead of myself, but I want to do my BSN or MSN (not yet sure which one) after I take my boards in September. I have done my AS with Excelsior and was generally satisfied with their program. It seems so easy to just stick with them for the rest of my education, but I don't want to do that without considering other programs. Has anyone done (or is currently doing) the Excelsior BSN? Anyone choose not to continue with Excelsior for any specific reason? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Seems like no matter which way I decide to go, it will be lots of $$$$$$! Thanks!

I obtained my BSN from a local brick-and-mortar school, after receiving my ASN from EC. At the time, there were 2 other performance exams required by EC in the BSN program, and flashbacks of the CPNE scared me off. I believe they have changed their requirements now, though.
In addition, the brick-and-mortar school I attended, offered a full time schedule of class 1 day a week, so it was a do-able option for me.
Good luck in your decision. Most EC ASN grads here have (or are currently) gone on to at least the BSN. You have plenty of options to choose from.

i am a bsn excelsior student. i have 4 classes left. i also graduated from excelsior's asn program in 2007. it was easy, i graduated in july, passed my rn in august and re-enrolled that same month! it was easier because they accepted all my credits and i didn't have to send in any transcripts!

Hi Melody,
I too am an AAS Excelsior graduate (2005) and I want to pursue my BSN. Please let me know whatever you can about the BSN program. I got information from them, but so many things are unclear. It looks like the program is VERY expensive now. Do we have to go back and do another CPNE? I appreciate any info. you can give me! Congrats on being only 4 classes away from your BSN!!!! WTG!!!!!!!
Thanks So Much!
