Hello fellow LPN to RN nurses! My name is Ashley and I just wanted to give you some input on the tests I took and hoping to get input on ones I have yet to take! Hopefully we can all help eachother out!!

Passed on First try with a C (hey C's get degrees!)

Foundations in Nursing

For all 3 of those exams I only studied solely from the Excelsior Practice Exams and study cards I found on cram.com

I do have the disc of study group 101 that I purchased for 50 dollars For all the exams, I just started using it for reproductive health.

I am currently studying for Reproductive health and then I will have all 3 Life Spans to take.

Im using only studygroup101 because they have such good reviews. I really like it so far but i did get the books too on amazon just in case i need them.

Which book did you buy? Is there a list of all books?

the books are on the bookstore page or in the content syllabus. if you go to excelsior.edu and click bookstore you can find what books your supposed to have. i got 2 new editions but the others are one edition older on amazon pretty cheap.

Hey Ashley! Congrats on passing! Like you Ive passed with C's... I'm currently studying for foundation of nursing. How long are you taking to study before scheduling you test? Any advice to study / focus on for foundations? Thank you!

Goodluck on foundations! I had alot of sata at least 10 but they didn't seem so bad I focused on the Excelsior Practice Exams and on other websites people have posted flash cards and notes which helped as well. Also I studied some studygroup 101. Foundations is all over the place but if you have geneal knowledge it isn't too bad. I usually take my practice exams first study them for about 2 weeks then I sign up for my exam within a week and just grind study like 3 days before. I am usaly all over the place with sturning but I can't concentrate for long period of time. Please let me know how it goes with your exam I wish I could give you more info but the tests are always so nerve wracking I never remember what the hell was on it haha

How easy was test just by studying what u read on the course? I'm just starting out and very nervous.....

Silly question.. My advisor never told me I had to buy books ???? Where do I buy them!?? How do I find out what books I need ?? How much are they ??

Did you have to take any pre-reqs? I need to take Intro to Sociology before I can do those classes. Any advice? I'm going to make a note of cram.com for my nursing study guides! Thanks!
