Excelsior Microbiology study tips

Hi there,Long time reader, first time poster. I've been trying to get into studying for micro but having a hard time organizing the info. I bought micro demystified and the studygroup101 notes. I like the book, but I don't care for how the study group notes are set up. I rented the suggested textbook but it's a hard read. Just wondering what anyone else used for micro that helped them. I'm doing this while my bf is deployed and want to be at least close to being done as possible before he gets home in 9-12 months. Thanks!

Yes they helped me! Just took this test on Tuesday and passed with a B.

Hey is anyone currently taking or will soon be taking microbiology through excelsior college? Any tips? Anyone in GA wanna study together if not in GA, via phone maybe? Im desperate. I need to ace this exam!!!! lol

I can't say for this one specifically, but having just taken the A&P, I would recommend it. It was quite similar to the real test. It really helped focus in my studying material. I was spending way too much time on things that weren't a big part of the test. I got an A on my test and I can honestly say that without the practice tests, there is a chance I would have failed.

Hi guys I see that this is a really old post but hopefully you guys can help me. Im doing microbiology now through excelsior/global learn. the text book they sent me for free is 459 pages and its a hard read. Is there anything I can use or order that would make life much easier for me to get this microbiology done with. Also the questions and the little practice exams at the end of a section, do they really help? I notice a lot of bold print words in the text book and also those bold print phrases is what the power points focus on, is that on the exam?? I want to make sure im studying what I need. Theres so much! HELP!

where do I get the practice exams from?? I also looked on eBay for the college network micro book people are talking about but I can't find anything by college network for micro. HELP
