I work with an EC grad who wanted to move to Colorado soon after graduation and was denied a job there because of lack of experience. They required her to take another semester of traditional clinicals at a college there. ( even though she passed her State Boards and was a RN ) Anyways, she declined and stayed for 3 years. With her 3 years of on the job experience and a fantastic letter of recommendation she has moved to Colorado ( closer to family ) and had no problems.
So I would ask those states who don't recognize EC grads if a few years experience would make a difference. Never hurts to ask.

Regarding Excelsior college RN grads being able to sit for certain state boards, if I get the LVN-RN through them but get my BSN through chamberlain.edu or another program does this help. I assume the State board of nursing will only need to know about the BSN or do they want proof of RN clinical hours for example? Thanks for your input.
