Im pretty sure the cost is $380 (as of July 1st with the new tuition prices). Havent taken it, so I dont know whats on it. From what I read, its a critical thinking assessment where youre given a situation and you say what to do, prioritiza, delegate, etc. I think EC has students stay pretty quiet about the content of their FCCA, so you wont get specifics. Currently, once youre eligible, they will Fed-Ex it to you and you return in back within a certain amount of time. From what EC says, the computerized version will be available in August and you will complete it online at that time, hopefully for home but Im not sure. Hope this helps a little.

Don't hold your breath on the test being ready in Aug. EC has been trying to put the FCCA on Computer since Jan 08 and have yet to do it. When you take the FCCA, it tells you not to discuss the contents of the test so thats why people are kinda quiet about it. The last thing anyone wants is to breech academic honestly. Even though I have graduated and got my RN licenses. I am uncomfortable about giving out details. Good Luck with the FCCA, its not hard at all. It just requires a little thought. I can tell you this much, taking the FCCA was so easy after the CPNE. I actually finished it in a day.
Im definitely not holding my breathe (sorry, meant to say that)...and actually hoping it doesnt get computerized in Aug. I take my last nursing exam in mid-September, so will be ready to take it then. I dont want to be in the 'first bunch' to take it computerized and find out its completely different...
I know thats right! I was afraid that they would have the computerized test and become a victim of some computer glitch and fail it! You will do fine. How many more test do you have to take?
Im scheduled to take HDLS1 a week from Saturday---Im just finishing up the RUE Workbook, so I hope reviewing/reading Studygroup, etc for a week will prepare me--if not I may bump it back a few days. Then Im scheduled for HDLS2 towards the end of August and 3 in September sometime....Then this lovely thing...
