Hi MissingMyErica,

Thanks for all the positive encouragement and advice. It's good to hear about your successes. They make the journey ahead seem that much less overwhelming.

I'm confident I can achieve the same success rate as you. I just have to ignore the minutia!

Where do you do clinicals for EC? Is it NY? and when?

LOL :lol2::lol2: My daughter is a cop in the U.S. NAVY and she always uses that term when she has to go up against the guys and prove herself! She weighs about 110 lbs soaking wet, so she always feels like she has to push herself to be better, faster, stronger, so the guys will respect her. She's always telling me, "Mom, I seriously have to go balls to the wall on this one and JUST DO IT!!!" Cracks me up every time she says it! :)

I'm glad I got to read these post's missingmyerica you are now going to be my inspiration! I did the study, study, study years ago and failed every test. I never felt that I was "smart enough to pass so I stopped trying". I know the information its just that I could not pass their tests? Im not saying you can try to hard but I do think there is a method to the madness and you have made me at least feel better! Thanks

I'm not encouraging people to do things the way I did it, but I'm just telling people that it worked for me and it can be done. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

MissingMyErica, how long did it take you, total to get through the program? Would it be possible to speak with you a bit more at length about your experience with EC? Could you drop me a Private Mssg with a contact email address?

Thanks in Advance

Hello fellow Nurses-

I am new to this whole allnurses website so I appreciate any feeback I can get. I am currently an LPN interested in going back to school to become an RN. I currently have a Bachelors degree in Biology and minor in Psychology so needless to say I have alot of pre-reqs done already. I am a little apprehensive about enrolling in the program beings i've only had a few classes in my college career "online." I am from South Dakota and there are not alot of LPN-RN transition programs that allow me to work full-time. Hence why I am trying to get some general information about the program. Does anyone generally know the cost of such a program? If I have all of the pre-reqs done what time frame would I be looking at to get done with this. I realize that its self based so I understand that its up to me to get the program done. Can I get the program done soley alone on the materials that Excelsior provides for us? I appreciate any feedback from anyone out there, I definately need to get started though. I've been out of school since December and need to get back at it before I become un-motivated. Any additional information is greatly appreciated...

Thank You!

Does any one know if things have changed with California? I read on the state website that there was a change and that now CA would accept EC if you tested in like an out of state resident? Any one know? Im still waiting to hear back form the admission counselor. Thanks
