Sorry to hear that. What are you using to prepare for Chronicity?

Specializes in Operating room.

try taking the course

I'm using sg 101 and college network. I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong. I felt as I knew the material when I was taking the exam.

Did you take the EC practice exams?

Yes....I got a 55 on A and 86 on B. I figure with getting a 86 I was ready, but now I have to wait 60days.

Judging by your post, you are familiar with taking EC exams and are familiar with the format and delivery. Perhaps you may need to relax a little more now, before, and during the exam. I'm sure you are going into the exam with the mindset of "I have got to pass this exam so that I can get into the next FCCA course!" We've all been there, making self-imposed deadlines. That causes a lot of undue stress in your subconscious. I say forget about the FCCA and focus solely on passing this exam because, right now, this exam IS all that matters.

When I was in the LPN-RN program, I went into every exam completely relaxed because acquiring an ASN degree was something that I wanted to do; nobody made me go into it. I already held a nursing license, so I didn't have the "but-I-really-always-wanted-to-be-a-nurse" saga going on. So, realizing that there was nothing being held over my head as leverage, I went in and did what I had to do. I don't know what your situation is, but try to find a place like that in your mind. If your job is requiring it, in order to relax, put it in your mind that your job is not the only nursing job in the world or in that state. Whatever it takes! That's the mentality I had back then. Had I kept that mentality, maybe I would not have failed my first EC exam a few months ago. (A whole other story. Pleaaaaaaase don't get me started on that!).

Good luck on your next attempt!
