My school just implemented Evolve's Nclex prep. They used to use ATI, but changed over to this. What kind of experience have you had with this? Is the end of program HESI a good predictor of readiness for the NCLEX? We have to score 850 to pass. Also, I've been using evolve's website for practice questions. I know everything helps, but I just want to make sure I'm not wasting time. They are also doing a 3 day NCLEX review with staff from Evolve. Did anyone feel this was enough of a review? I don't have the money for additional classes. I'm just planning to read through Saunders for content review. Thanks!!

Don't just read through Saunders, study it and work at preparing. Most people don't take review courses and are successful. You should be fine if you work hard at it.
Thank you! I'm definitely going to be studying it. I didn't mean simply read through it. I have winter break coming up for 5 weeks before my last rotation, so I'm just going to focus on getting my content down before starting a massive amount of practice questions. I have 4 months until I take the N-CLEX, so I'm trying to figure out where to begin.

I did all the practice questions and a lot of case studies on the evolve/HESI website and I did feel that it helped me a lot. I took the HESI exam twice. The first time I scored 850, and the second time I scored 980 or something. I passed the NCLEX-RN with 75 questions and I really feel that it was because I practiced HESI type questions as they are harder than the questions that you will get in a nursing school exam. I know of a couple of girls that did poorly on the HESI test that also failed the NCLEX first time so I would practice HESI test questions if I was you. Also, do as many practice NCLEX questions as possible with rationales from different sources.
Thanks! That's what I wanted to know. I'm taking the HESI in February. We don't have to pass to graduate, but I obviously want to do well. We just have to take it one more time if we don't score an 850. If it's really a good predictor for the NCLEX then I'll have more confidence coming out of it.
