Everett Community College Applicants Fall 2014

Is anyone planning to apply for Fall 2014 at Everett CC? If so what are your TEAS scores? Mine is a 79.3%. I hear Fall usually has higher scores because there are more applicants. So I'm thinking of reapplying until I get lucky. Anyone hear of the lowest TEAS score accepted into the program?

I am hoping this week but might be next week. What was your score if you don't mind me asking?

I only got a 79.3% so I'm not getting my hopes up. I am more likely to get in for Winter or Spring. What was your score?

Mine was an 88.7 but I am worried that my math score (83.3) will keep me from getting in.

Mine came yesterday also. I did not get in. Heading back to the school to reapply for Winter. Yipee! I'm sure you got in with your score.

Sorry to hear that. I do hope you get in winter but it will most likely be spring since I was told by one of the consolers they are only taking 10 students in winter because they have to take a bunch from the 1-2-1 program or something. Remember they are closed today and Monday also.

I just returned from a long vacation to my fall acceptance letter. My TEAS score was 90.0%...I was hoping for higher, but I am just happy it was high enough to get in. Our test date had server issues during the first section, reading, which is usually one of my best subjects, but I scored lowest in it. I had a hard time concentrating with all the talking and interruptions...and I don't think I was the only one. I'll be crossing my fingers for you to get in ASAP, but I also heard that they are only taking 10 students from EVCC winter quarter because they have to give 30 spots to UW Bothell students...or something like that.

RuthieBee, that server issue was so annoying. I too could not focus and wound up running out of time in that section which stressed me out and I wound up rushing, and screwing up the math section. But from what I hear that server issue is not as uncommon as the proctor made it sound.

Hi hopeful,

I was hoping to PM you, but apparently I am too new here to access to that function. Have you heard anything about the standardized test we are taking? I looked at an old thread on here and someone said it was the TEAS, but that was prior to EVCC using the TEAS for acceptance. I doubt they would administer it again, but I have no idea what else it could possibly be. Thoughts?

I am not stressing about it. It may be a learning style test, a nursing skills test to gauge how much we already know/don't know, or a more advanced "TEAS" to see if we have any higher math or science knowledge. Whatever it is, it does not impact our acceptance beyond did you show up and take it, if so, you are still in. My main thought is that its another hoop to just through, I just need to be there, and otherwise, I don't care.

I was told that the test is to evaluate our critical thinking skills. I'm not sure what format it will take.
