Update in case anyone is interested or curious; as of this morning, they’ve gone through the first 17 alternates! Only 3 more to go for me— hopefully I receive some good news soon!

Hey Genesiee, I'm also on the waitlist and I have been for a while. They told me I was number one a while ago and I haven't moved. I'm just confused because if you moved up then I should have moved too right? Thoughts?

If your original alternate slot was #18 I think this makes sense, since I’m #20 but moved up to #3. I noticed they got through a big chunk of alternates early on (ysaballerina was #12, FutureRN was #15 and they all got their slots in early March). Meanwhile I was a few slots away, and still haven’t heard anything in almost mid May. This might be because some people declined their acceptances right away because they got into CSUs, schools closer to home, etc. As of right now I think they’re moving more slowly down the list maybe because no new school decisions have come out? I know Chabot just did, but other than that I think we’re pretty much at a standstill for now ?

what was your original alternate number? I’m sure you’re going to get that notification soon!

Well originally they said I was #16 alternate so I guess its pretty close.

Oh that is weird! My guess is that A couple of people from 17-19 declined ahead of time? But you’re right there! Good luck ?

Has anyone asked or does anyone know how EVC being all online for fall is going to affect the nursing ?

They literally sent us an email 2 minutes ago. It looks like everything is in the air regarding clinicals, but they are actively working towards a clear plan on how to execute things for fall. Until then, we need to work on compliance in Complio starting June 1st.

I am relieved they are still moving forward. CSUEB's Fall 2020 cohort has been deferred until Fall 2021. ?

I think you have to do what's best for you and your overall goal. What if they defer EVC too then you already turned down a BSN program...

I've been an EVC student for the last 3 years, I know they have a great program and they bridge with SJSU so I'm having a hard time letting EVC go.
