Hi, I couldn't find a thread for Evergreen Valley College so I wanted to start one. This is my first time applying, are you applying too? Have you applied last year? Do you know what was the point cutoff for last year? I just want to get an idea of my chances.
Thanks and good luck to us all.

Hello,
Thank you for starting this thread. I was searching for one the other day, but didn't come across one. Well this is my first time applying to EVC, so I'm not too sure about the cut off points. I did look back into the thread for the last group of applicants that got accepted and I did see a few students that got between 60 - 64 and was placed on the alternative list for Fall 2019, but if they didn't reach their number they where still guaranteed a spot for 2020. Seeing that made me feel better about a chance of getting in ? Have you calculated your points yet?

Yes, I too felt better reading the previous year's post but I know that it may be different this year. I did calculate my score and with out the health experience and patho course I'm just at 67 points. I really hope it's enough but I wont be too disappointed if it's not. What is your total points?
I haven't taken a patho course either and currently I'm in pharmacology, but it won't be over until December, so right now I only have 64.

I have 62 points if everything gets approved. Im really surprised students were placed on an alternative list with scores in the 60s! This is my first choice, so I’m hoping I don’t get on the alternative list.

Did you attend an info session? I have not been able to go to one since I live so far away and have kids.

Lol, I realized that and went back to remove that part of my comment but too late.

I have not. Is it mandatory? What other programs are you applying to?

Info sessions are not mandatory but I felt like I should've attended one just so I can have all the information on the whole process as the site seems to be lacking. I ended up calling the counselor for the program to clarify my questions when I was applying. I have applied for Solano, ARC, and plan to apply to Chabots, San Mateo, Sac City, MJC, and Merced. Yes, I am casting my net out far and wide to better my chances. What other programs are you applying to?

Did you apply to SF city college?

No, I didn't. I have kids so I chose programs that were with in proximity of family assistance ? or home.
