Hey, I haven't found a forum for the new nursing application for Evergreen Valley College. I was wondering anyone can share their scores. I have 62, I am not sure if its high enough to get into the program.

Wait I’m so sorry now I’m second guessing myself. Don’t take my word for it LOL I’m trying to remember what I did and now I feel like only the passing grade may have counted and what I am remembering is regarding a different school. But yes, best bet is to call them and ask! And when you fill out the the actual application, each criteria will have clear directions.
You basically just have to retake it and get a passing grade. What I can’t remember for sure is whether the withdrawn class is included in the calculation for your GPA or not. I think counseling/ nursing program administrators are really busy right now because their class for 2021 Spring quarter just ended and they are in the process of putting together everything for the coming cohort of students. Try reaching out to William Sapigao who is the nursing program counselor. He may be busy as well to but I’m sure you can eventually schedule an appointment to talk to him! From my experience, he was very helpful.
Thanks for your reply! I contacted admissions and confirmed, theres no penalty for withdrawals. I am not applying until October 2021 so I have awhile! How many students are admitted into the program for your cohort Danielle and do you mind sharing how many points you needed to get in? I am combing through previous posts as well. Thanks for the help I'll pay it forward@!!

I received a notice that I'm accepted to the 2021/22 program, but they haven't said whether I'll start in Fall or Spring. I really want a Spring start and I wasn't interested in doing the dual enrollment with SJSU.
Glad to get to know some members of the class before it really starts.
I have a doctor's appointment set up to review my titers for the vaccinations. If my titers come back low, I'll have to start the vaccine series (which may take a couple months to catch up with).
When I emailed Ms. Medina, she asked to wait until the orientation meeting in May to get the other required items (ie, CPR cert, fit test, etc) taken care of.
Hi! I am also interested in applying for the EVC nursing program in October 2021. If you don't mind me asking , how many points did you have? Would appreciate your response ?

Hi NonTradRoutes, I think I had around 70 pts. I don't have patient experience (so if you do, that would be a big point bonus) and I'm an older student. I already have a BS and I made sure to do well in the core sciences (I had to retake all of mine since they're expired) and I studied and did lots of practice tests to do well on the TEAS.
Hope this helps :)

I must've been getting these requirements mixed up with the DeAnza requirements then. I think there's a penalty in their point system.
I think I had around 70pts and was admitted after my first application in Oct 2020. Hope this helps.

I just remember that when you calculate your GPA for relevant coursework as part of the application, you have to include all the grades you’ve received for those classes. So for example, if I got a D in Microbio and had to retake it and got an A, when you calculate the GPA of relevant coursework, you will include both the D and the A in your calculation for your grade point average.
