Evansville nursing salaries

Published

Hello!

I plan to move to Evansville, IN within the next few months & would like to know what the average salary for hospital floor nurses are in that area. I have been a RN for 13 years & have worked in a variety of settings but am currently working in Med-Surg. Also, if you could give me a brief overview about the Evansville area I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I would like to know what the seasoned nurses make in Indianapolis, IN because from what I can gather, they aren't being paid well. The job I'm about to leave is only paying $27/hour to me on dayshift and I've been a nurse since the Spring of 1987.

Only 27 dollars an hour! I will take that one!

Not gonna get rich in Evansville, 2 hospitals, 5 nursing schools in a 100 mile radius. New grads start at around 16-17/hr One of the hospitals still uses agency nurses (nothing against agency nurses) but that should tell you something. Cost of living fairly low around here. I went to both facilites during clinicals and only applied to one of them. Feel free to PM me.

that's what I say...phew!

I am a Californian and we plan to move to Indiana when we sell our home. I am an LVN here in Califonria and currently make a little more than 21 dollars per hour with my night differential with 5 years experience in trache and ventilator unit. Can anyone tell me the range of hourly rate for LPN's in Indiana and I please invite anyone in any of the cities there or townships to give any information on this so we can get an idea of where we want to move. We were looking towards the Johnson and Madison County areas.I would greatly appreciate any information on this.
