You'll never make it in California
You are a Registered Nurse definitely you would make it in California. Registered Nurses in California make so much money you wouldnt believe it. Every RN that I worked with at Kaweah Delta District Hospital in Visalia made at least working night shift with the differential made between 35-40 dollars per hour. There was always opportunity to work overtime for them to make even more and too they have this thing called ESI which means Extra shift incentives which allowed them to earn their regular wage plus another 500 tacked onto that to take an extra shift. One of the RNs who had been an lvn for a long time once she bacame an RN she has been able to purchase multiple homes there and they arent cheap. A decent home in that area starts around 250k. She had multiple homes in that range due to making so much. Good Luck!

Indiana towns and cities
Thanks to all your responses especially Nurse RoRo for letting me know of any subacutes. If anyone knows of any other subacutes which are trache, ventilator , gastronomy fed patients units continue to let me know. We still havent moved from California yet. I am all set up with my Indiana Lpn license they even sent me an enlarged Diploma like Certificate that is very nice and can be framed. California sure never has sent us any such certificate like that and the license cost much more than Indiana's. Our home fell out of escrow here so were waiting for another buyer. What is bad is that we hearing so many good things about Indiana want to move seriously there, and the market here was always so good that now when were trying so hard to sell the market has drastically slowed down at least 50% from what it was last year when we werent ready and we have already decreased our price by 30K. So I hope we finally get a bite soon. We need to move. Thanks again for all your help out there in Indiana. Debra

Does Washington state recgonize California LVN's?
Just to let you know that the California and New York LVN Nclex testing is harder than any of the other states and if you have either of those licenses you can pretty much transfer anywhere. I am an LVN in California and just received my LPN for Indiana and all I did was pay Indiana 50 dollars fill out the appropriate paperwork through Indiana and also pay California 75 dollars to send Indiana verification of my California Schooling, and Licensing information and I received my licensed from Indiana. Hope this helps.

Evansville nursing salaries
I am a Californian and we plan to move to Indiana when we sell our home. I am an LVN here in Califonria and currently make a little more than 21 dollars per hour with my night differential with 5 years experience in trache and ventilator unit. Can anyone tell me the range of hourly rate for LPN's in Indiana and I please invite anyone in any of the cities there or townships to give any information on this so we can get an idea of where we want to move. We were looking towards the Johnson and Madison County areas.I would greatly appreciate any information on this.
