Hi there. Where are you looking? Your school's library should have tons of resources.
You might try the national hospice association, national palliative care organization too.
What resources do you have now?

There are many interesting articles in cyper-space which will be useful for you to get the wheels rolling:
Doctor-assisted death: A dad's choice sheds light on national issue - Vitals
Assisted suicide in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
United States Physician Assisted Suicide Law Summary and Law Digest
These offer a particular slant on this broader topic. Hope they help!

I highly recommend you obtain journal articles from databases that are provided to you by your school; these articles will serve as the basis of your research and give credibility to your presentation.
You might also want to check the AACN website and see their position on futile care/end of life care in the ICU.

I agree that your respected publications can be used to assist in this endevour, but it appeared to me that the OP was looking for a central theme upon which she could gather additional information. I hope she/he found it!

I hear you about doing literature searches. I think it's really unfortunate that they don't give students a one-hour class on how to do them better.
Fortunately, here's a link to a wonderful article on doing literature searches. I have it printed out on my desk all the time.
Go to American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners > Resources > Journal > Journal archives > Fall 2013. Download the whole issue, it's free access. The article you're looking for is by David Dillard, and is on page 93. I'm looking at it right now. I promise it will help you do better searches and save you from overly broad returns.

Although not from a journal, this is a good article that touches on ethical issues.
