Has anyone gone there/going there? I got the letter today saying I was accepted!!!!!!! Im so excited!!! I start in the fall. I go the end of July for the placement test. Im excited, but nervous too. I didnt do good in HS and have been out of school for 12 years. But I want to be a nurse SO bad that I know I can do it. Also, what can I expect with the pre-req courses?

go to www.ratemyprofessors.com to choose what professors you should take for your classes. You dont get a choice once you enter nursing, but at least you can somewhat help your grades out by seeing who others felt were good professors. Also, if you dont mind working you butt off but want to really learn (cuz you will need it) take Professor Natalie Toran for Anatomy & Physiology 1. Shes TOUGH but I appreciate it. (I had her for 1 & 2) Its a good school as far as education, just keep on top of your paperwork because the admisitration is good for messin up. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I just recieved my acceptance letter for fall 2008. I wanted to get a head start or just get an idea of what the first semester curriculum is and what the semester is like in general before the orientation. Is there any 2nd semseter of above student who could comment on the first semester and recommend anything to read or research or general topics covered. If you could help out that would be great.

I am just wondering..

you were accepted in the nursing Program without having any prereqs done??

You will do them together along with the Nursing 1, 2, 3,4???

I transferred to another nursing school, but still took classes and just finished with a degree. I have close friends who are going in to the 3rd and 4th semesters of the nursing program. You need to have Eng101, Chem101 or 103, and A&P1 (Bio121) done before you can take the NET (nursing entrance exam).

I know that but he makes me wonder how got accepted without High School and being 12 years out of any school because this means that doesn't have any prereqs done..

So I was wondering if it possible and also, how hard would be for somebody in this condition..harddddddddd

Anyway, thank you..:nurse:

For those that have started..how is the program? I presently have a BA in a non-nursing field and I'm looking to start the program there ECC.

I will be taking A&PI in Spring 2009 and hopefully, Chem in Summer 2009 (If not along with A&P I ). I majored in English so I won't need to do the Eng. Comp.

I believe there is a math requirement also, so I will try to test out for that one. If not, I'll take that one too.

Hopefully, I'll be able to start in Fall 2009. Any suggestions, advice? Thanks!

my advice for lovelymo79 is to study or at least do a quick overview of the chapters before actual lecture for that chapter so that you can better understand what the professor is talking about.....i did all my pre-requisites e.g (A &P) in essex county college as a prenursing student and then tranferred to Rutgers....a&p was tough...i took it with toran....but you will learn a lot...also someone mentioned above about a website (ratemyprofessor.com)...utilize it.....best of luck
