Essential school of nursing, florida

Has anyone gone through this school?

I cant find any information about them.

Right! Florida was cracking down heavy on this approved fly by night “schools” in the past. Students were going to the Florida BON and BOE with numerous complaints. Way too many red flags, just like Medlife, who lost their accreditation due to stealing students financial aid refunds! Essential School of Nursing is NO BETTER!

My coworker is attending this program and loves it. Said she will have no problem endorsing her license to CA either. She’s doing clinicals for 3 months and will graduate; I’m waiting for her update before I secure my spot.

When your friend actually graduates, come back on here and let us know how that goes. Your friend says she’ll have “no problem endorsing her license to CA”? Is she aware that California is NOT a compact state, so she can’t just switch her license over like other states. I suggest you and your friend open your eyes and realize that this program is not who they pretend to be. They are very unorganized, unreliable and haven’t have the slightest clue about how other states BON operates, therefore giving students false information.

Just a little tip: The California Board Of Nursing is very strict. They go through all nursing transcripts carefully and may or may not see certain classes on those transcripts. Because of this, it can take months to get a California license by endorsement. California will probably eventually join the NLC, but it may take a while for this to happen.

Winner & Epi - sadly, people will believe what they want to believe. All the right information is just shuffled to the bottom of the pile. Then when the poor outcome happens .....

It is esp troublesome when these for-profit schools negatively affect so many students. I'm believing that there must be some students SOMEWHERE that have had positive experiences. But for the majority ...

I so wish those students would listen & then super-duper investigate those schools and poss long-term sequella like NCLEX, licensing, credit transfer, etc. The big one I think about is how military aspirations might be tanked.

I sound like my mother ...

I graduated from this school and got my Michigan state RN license.

I graduated from this school earlier this year and I'm currently in the process of getting my RN license endorsed to North Carolina.

How was the program

The program has changed alot since I was in it since I was enrolled during Covid. So basically there was no traveling back and forth there every month. Currently I have a friend who is attending school there and she goes there for one week a month for tests and clinicals. She gets an airBnB and rental car with her classmate and splits the cost. Now as far as being organized, I've heard they've gotten better at that. I found it to be exactly what I needed at just the right time. My friend started in April of 2022 and will be finishing in February 2023, which she said has sped by.

Are you having any trouble with your endorsement?

Here is what the Essential School site says about their program:

Bold and italics by me:

Quote

Essential School of Nursing program (ADN) is (1) designed for registered nurses who have earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. All courses and required community clinical project will be completed in our local area. Our program offers  (2) direction from faculties that (3) have first-hand knowledge of experience specific to this curriculum or have participated in online educational experiences...

(1) If I have (earned) an ADN why do I need to attend this program?

(2) The Plural of a group of faculty members is faculty, not faculties.

(3) Your teachers will either have first-hand knowledge of experience specific to the curriculum with no mention of the instructors' degrees (or watched a video on it.)

And this might be a school of choice? BTW the NCLEX pass rates from 2/21 to 1/22 is:  44 took it,  16 passed  28 failed for a year's pass rate of 36.36%
