Hi FN,
I attended Erwin Tech in the mid 90's while I was living in Carrollwood. I took their Pharmacy Technician class and found that their education was excellent. They also have a large selection of clinical sites. I did an internship at Town and Country Hospital in Tampa. I am now living in Orlando working in one of the area's hospitals and finishing my pre-reqs at Valencia Community College. Good luck with your nursing education.
Hello,
Before I got into SPC, I applied everywhere even to the LPN programs and there ARE less expensive programs out there (PTEC) WITH NO WAITING LISTS ANYMORE. With that being said, check out all your options, I'm sure the beginning of May you could also competitively apply to the AS-RN programs locally in the area. Good luck to you no matter what though.
I'm currently in the LPN program at Erwin. It costs a little over $3600 that's including books, tuition, insurance, NLN tests. The program is one of the cheaper in Hills Co but it has a lot of recognition with the hospitals and some nursing homes in the area. The teachers of the night program are different then the day teachers with the exception of Mrs. Murphy who taught up A&P.
What would you like to know I can answer what I can in general but like I said I don't know anyone in the day program?

Hello,
I recently moved from NY to Tampa. I'm currently attending a CNA class at Learey Tech in Carolwood nursing home. I have already applied to Erwin Tech for LPN. I will be attending an orientation at the end of this month. Is anyone attending Erwin Tech school or had attended? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
