Epocates Essentials vs. Pepid

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I finally decided to purchase a PDA. I am thinking about getting either Epocrates or Pepid, which are both subscription programs with all of the essentials for nurses. Can anyone who has used either one or both tell me which is better?

Thanks!

I use Epocrates and love it have never had any experience with the other.

Hope this helps!!!

I'm glad you posted this because I have the very same question. I am getting ready to upgrade my PDA and have been researching different programs. I've gone back to work after being out for 8 years (med/surg) and like the idea of having a drug reference that I can truly carry in my pocket.

I've been using the free version of epocrates, and as soon as I have a PDA with enough memory, I am going to try the free trial of Pepid. I would like something with IV drug compatibilities and administration info. I also want something that includes frequent upgrades. I'm considering getting Gahart's IV drug book for PDA even though I just bought the book.

I hope you get more replies.
